Steamat® by Imerys is an innovative, cost-effective matting agent based on engineered talc-chlorite. It possesses specially defined particle size distribution which diffuses light with high efficiency from the paint film. It exhibits lamellar morphology, specific mineralogy and high apparent density. It offers easy dispersion and good mud-cracking resistance while maintaining opacity and porosity. It provides excellent scrub- and weathering resistance. Steamat® is suitable for solvent- & water-borne systems as well as decorative interior and exterior paints.
